Angels North
In March of 2011, I received news that shook my world. Like my grandmother and mother, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, my cancer was found early and after several surgeries, I remain cancer free.
It is an interesting experience to be immediately thrown into this world of CANCER. Survivors that I didn’t even know had breast cancer came out of the woodwork to offer support, a kind word, encouragement and prayers. It was an astonishing yet wonderful example of humanity at its best.
I knew immediately that I had to turn my cancer diagnosis into something positive. Doing nothing with the gift of a second chance, was not an option. I was compelled to pay forward the kindness shown to me throughout my fight. I partnered with my sister, Shannon, and Shirley’s Angels “North” was born.
Shirley’s Angels North, located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, holds monthly support group meetings. Please contact Stacey for more information or support.
